Girls festival (Hina-matsuri)

We cerebrate Girls Festival (Hina-matsuri) on March 3rd for praying good health of girls. Japanese families that have girl(s) have the doll sets (hina-ningyo) and decorate them on the day. We have two sets of dolls, one for Pandy (cat) and one for our daughter.
We make special food (chirashi-sushi) for the festival.
Chirashi sushi becomes popular in Japanese restaurants in US.
We also make Clam soup (not miso but clear one) and mochi dessert.
